Nam ousted from Kobe Challenger

Lý Hoàng Nam. — Photo banhni.vnHÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top tennis player Lý Hoàng Nam was ousted from the men’s singles in the second round of the ATP Kobe Challenger in Japan on Wednesday.Nam lost to Yun-Seong Chung of South Korea  四- 六,  二- 六 after one hour and  一 七 minutes.Nam is world No  三 八 五, while Chung is world No  二 九 八.

Earlier, the southern province of Tây Ninh-born player beat Nam Ji-sung of South Korea, world No  二 九 八,  六- 七( 四)  七- 六( 九)  六- 二 in the first round.

With this result, Nam will gain six points in the ATP rankings and receive US$ 一,000.

The event has a total prize fund of US$ 五0,000, drawing players in the world’s top  三00 including top seed Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan, ranked  八 一 in the world. — VNS
